Holstee Manifesto

Holstee is a company which I knew through their Manifesto. It is a very unique company of clothes and other products. They say they wrote a manifesto, never a business plan. I like them because of their life approach and because they have been able to create a company according to their lifestyle. I have to say, in the past I tried to create my own company according to my lifestyle, but up until now I did no manage … give me more time!
Let me share what catched my attention few months ago (the Manifesto), it is a call to action to live a life full of intention, creativity, passion, and community.

Recently, LifeCycle Film came about as a desire to bring the energy and passion behind the Manifesto to life through something we love-biking. As they say, this Film is a celebration. It is a celebration of gatherings, of diversity, of life, and of the beauty of shared experience. Enjoy it!

CO2 Emission Reduced?

While my partner is talking about the highlight of our 350 km bicycle trip between Passau (Germany) and Vienna (Austria), I became very curious how much we were able to reduce our CO2 emission by traveling 350km by bicycle.

Nowadays, there a many useful websites which allows to calculate your CO2 emission, so I visited one of them to calculate the carbon emission level of various transportation tools.
The one I used is the UK information website for door – door transportation “Transport Direct”.

http://www.transportdirect.info/Web2/JourneyPlanning/JourneyEmissionsCompare.aspx

According to this website, by doing the entire journey by bicycle, we have made so much less impact to the earth compared to other means of transportation! (Of course, assuming that we did not exhale 50kg of CO2 by doing so much effort pedaling the bicycle for 350km…)

In the next post, I will be introducing another choice we made to be nice to this earth during this bicycle trip!

Donau Radweg

This summer we enjoyed the Donau Radweg a nice bike tour along the Danube river. The tour along the river can be quite long (more than thousand km), but we just did a little part, 7 days trip and 350km, from Passau (Germany) to Vienna (Austria), I would say one of the best bike tour I did ever!

Let me share with you just a lovely places we visited:

Inzell, a tiny village were we overnight the first day, just after this amazing river curve:

Krems, in Wachau is the capital of the white wine. Here we enjoyed to cycle through the wineyards and the white wine!
